MOODY BLUFFS ON THE NORTH ISLAND

It was a moody march day up on the North end of Whidbey Island, waves crashing and the blues of the water punching through. I met these two at their new home first to have a drink and get to give their pups some love. We instantly connected and I knew we were going to have a fun evening ahead of us. I still listen to the playlist I made for them regularly (and it ended up being the soundtrack to some personal growth I experienced this spring), packed with Maggie Rogers and Hozier. We played at the beach and out on the bluffs for awhile, then headed over to the little island that separates the two halves of deception, where we got views of the bridge and the scattered islands to the south. We shot in a little cove with bright seafoam hued water, when I saw the sun peaking out from under the cloud layer along the horizon. We ran (Amber barefoot) to the other side of the bridge where we got a direct peak into the setting sun, and we got to experience some of the most vibrant, life giving colors i’ve seen all year. I can’t wait to spend their day with them next August.
