A SOLO TRIP THROUGH THE ALPINE GARDENS OF THE DOLOMITES

Two days spent on the rolling plateaus of Alpe Di Siusi, the highest alpine garden in Europe. Unlike Washington mountains, these Italian peaks are completely dry by June, and wildflower season is in full swing. To spend days walking the endless meadows of blooms, surrounded by towering peaks, with only the cows and the Italian strangers beside me, I felt a true belonging to this world.
