HITM: Chamonix
Explore the magic of the French Alps in early fall. Expect crisp days with warm sun, as the colors of the trees move toward golden, complimenting the dramatic peaks and alpine lakes. Expect 3 shoots structured after authentic elopement experiences, and learn to connect with your subjects in new experience-based ways.
I designed the shoots for this workshop similar to my favorite type of job. The ones where I become a part of the family, and am creating from a place of shared experience rather than a hired photographer. Together we will witness the beauty of two people experiencing the world together and will practice artfully telling the story through our own eyes, and our own hearts.

Closest international airport: Geneva, Switzerland. 1 hr drive, 2 hr train.
As I continue to evolve and refine this workshop, intimacy remains a founding pillar of the experience. We will be an intimate group, to intentionally focus on an education model molded to your own needs. Hands-on instruction, presentations led in the form of group discussion, and independent shoot time are all the baseline structures of this education experience.
WHATS INCLUDED:
Everything you could need from our start time (12PM) on October 4th - our end time on October 8th
Luxury accommodations in a mountain surrounded Chalet, shared 2 person rooms with individual twin beds
All meals enjoyed family style around a beautiful table
3 discussion style presentations, on discovering meaning within your work, capturing clients authentically and storytelling through your own voice, and centering your business around destination work specifically in the outdoors
3 creative shoots, meant to immediately implement lecture materials on storytelling and creative composition in landscapes
Me and my team will be there to support your every move, be it by providing hands-on instruction, encouraging your creativity, or finding you the closest Aperol spritz
WHAT is NOT INCLUDED:
Travel to/from Chamonix- including roundtrip airfare, and airport transfer. Our team will provide in-depth guidance for both car rentals and train-transfer. As many attendees come from many different places, and the ease and accessibility of travel within Europe, we find this is the best option for all.

What you can expect at one of my retreats is an open heart, a safe environment to learn and experiment, and a community that will become the pillars of your photography business.
Expect this retreat to feel like a warm hug, a trip with your best friends. We will laugh until we cry and stay up too late sharing the stories that made us. I will challenge you creatively and ask you to seek inspiration in the present, from your heart. We will come home after a long day in the mountains, bodies filled with wear, to a warm meal beside the fire. We will carry our espressos to the deck at dawn and dream of the moments yet to unfold.

“Marci's "Home in the Mountains Switzerland" is the first workshop I've ever attended, and now I don't think I could ever attend someone else's.
