Foggy adventure in olympic

Moody Coastal afternoon

This story was so special. Sadie has known she would get married on Lake Quinault since she visited as a kid with her father, and experienced the magic of the rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula here in Washington. they came out for their two day elopement in late September, from Minnesota. We began the celebrations with a hike out to the ridge in the North of the park, soaking up the only sun we’d have over the week and enjoying the blues that come out at the very end of the season in those mountains. We did a pit stop at Lake Crescent for dinner and to enjoy the lake one last time before heading South down to Lake Quinault.

They started the morning of their wedding with a dip in the foggy lake. The day progressed and it was the biggest storm of the season, water not just falling but pouring from the sky. Their attitudes couldn’t be beat, all they wanted to do was celebrate one another and embrace all that was the day, and we were in the rainforest so like, what else did we expect.

They said their vows right on the lakeside, during a short rain break, that was cut short by an incoming cloud that got everyone completely soaked, so we scurried up to the gazebo and finished up there. Then we adventured along the short paths the wound around the lake and caught some coverage from the rain under the forest canopy. It was a perfect day.

Hair and makeup by the amazing Dang Bang.
